Members share stories of hope about Bridging the Gap programs in AA.
One of the most critical moments in an alcoholic’s early sobriety can be making a connection with AA the day he or she leaves a treatment center or correctional facility. Some of us don’t know where to go, and some are just overwhelmed, as people, places and things loom large. That’s where Bridging the Gap programs help out. Bridging the Gap volunteers sign up to link the new member to the safe, loving rooms of AA right away. This month, our special section features stories of hope and service from Bridging the Gap programs.
