Using the Steps
In “Keep the Meeting Going,” She learned that staying sober is sometimes about returning to basics and keeping it simple
In this and other stories this week, we learn how members practice the Twelve Steps. Three stories deal with a Ninth Step amends to family and old friends: In “A Letter to My Mother,” a woman describes how long after her mother’s death, she found a way to make an amends to her. In “Truth and Recovery,” a young man describes how he was finally able to be honest with his family about his past behavior.
Lastly, the narrator of “Keep the Meeting Going,” reminds us that you only need two or three alcoholics to have a meeting.
