In July 2007 I shared my experience, strength and hope which was published as the cover story for Grapevine, called “Outside Freedomville.” It was written during my first five years of sobriety while in prison. I was sentenced to serve 11½ years for drunk driving.
In December 2009, after many years of work on the Steps with an "outside" volunteer sponsor and intensive work with other alcoholics I was granted an early release with 12 months to serve on the Supervised Community Confinement Program.
