He and his furry buddy went through early sobriety together
I was one year sober when an AA friend suggested that I get a pet—preferably a kitten. I thought her suggestion was very strange, since she knew that all the plants I had tried to keep died from over-feeding and over-watering. But I trusted this person, so off I went to the local animal shelter.
At the shelter desk I was told that there were no kittens for adoption, but they had a cat that was approximately four months old.
