A member reflects on the joys of sharing his recovery
A while back, I heard a AA speaker said that alcohol save her life. When I heard this I was taken aback, but it made me think. When I look back to before I started drinking I was a mess, I didn't belong anywhere. I felt I didn't fit in anywhere. I didn't fit in at home, school, church, or in my own body. A square peg in a round hole, as they say. So when I look back I am not sure how much longer I would have made it if I didn't find alcohol when I did.
