I am part of a Big Book study that meets every Tuesday night. Each week, we come up with a new homework assignment. This week it was to write about our experiences in recovery, and mail it in to the Grapevine. So, here goes!
My sobriety date is March 7, 2009, and I have never had it so good. I have been (involuntarily, of course) involved with AA since I was 18 years old. Multiple DUIs kept me coming back, but I spent about six years in and out, absolutely dreading the two meetings a week I was required to attend. Needless to say, I never acquired any sobriety.
