Hearing from an old schoolmate got this AA thinking
I went to my 20-year high school reunion when I was two-and-a-half years sober. That was 29 years ago. Back then, I was full of shame for the mess I had made out of my life since leaving high school. I was also full of hope that with AA, my life was once again becoming full of promise.
At that reunion, I had nothing to brag about. Except, that I had become powerless over alcohol and that I was no longer drinking and I was not doing it by myself.
