AA buddies fly to the rescue when a member’s son reaches out
One would think that after more than 40 years in the employment ranks, and with a seemingly secure job as a program supervisor, being laid off would be pretty unlikely. Well, life has its little ups and downs. After four plus years with my current employer, and due to the state of Michigan’s budget woes, I was placed on layoff.
Since I got sober, I’ve learned to intuitively know how to handle situations that used to baffle me. Acceptance has become the answer to all my problems. I believe that everything happens for a reason. So I immediately wondered what God’s plan for me... Login to read more
