I have often looked around the room of an AA meeting in complete amazement. On any given night and in any given meeting it is the rule rather than the exception to encounter people of completely different cultural backgrounds, ages, political and religious persuasions, varying economic status, racial heritage, sexual orientation, and just plain different personalities.
