Whiling Away the Days
She graduated from fantasy and books to alcohol and drugs
Golden orange and pink streaked the sky as the sun began to set. A warm breeze whispered through the tall grasses and the hum of cicadas filled the air while a dull car engine could be heard every now and then in the distance.
There I sat in my dad's jeep on the side of a country road not too far from my house. I thought I didn't want to live anymore. I wished I could just fade away.
