A question for clergyman in AA

At a recent meeting in Syracuse, an alcoholic priest and I were the speakers. Someone made the joke about how alcoholism is an Irish Catholic disease treated in Protestant church basements. After the meeting, I was deeply impressed by the number of alcoholics who said how glad they were to have a minister speak up and be identified as an alcoholic. How about it, fellow Protestant clergy? Are we being too anonymous?
