She had it all—the kids, the home, the husband—but she couldn’t stop drinking

I have always enjoyed partying as a way to escape to a more enjoyable mental/physical state.  The problem started when life got harder and children came into the picture and I could hardly wait for five o’clock to get my “reward” for the day. Unfortunately, that reward was needed seven days a week.  Between alcohol being the only fun thing I had to look forward to and the stress of motherhood with three little ones back-to-back as well as a growing resentment towards my husband, I was pretty miserable.
